Groupiie works because people show up for each other. These guidelines keep clubs welcoming and events safe.
01Be real
- Use your real name or the name people know you by. No fake profiles or impersonation.
- List clubs that exist or that you genuinely plan to start. Describe them honestly, including any fees.
- Only create events that will happen, and update or cancel them if plans change.
02Be kind and safe
- No harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats or discrimination, online or at events.
- Respect people’s boundaries and privacy. Do not share someone’s contact details or photos without permission.
- Meet in public places for first meetups, and tell someone where you are going.
- Organisers: plan for safety, especially for sport, outdoor and late-night events.
03For organisers
- Approve or decline join requests fairly, and remove members only for good reason.
- Be clear about costs, refunds, what to bring and any risks.
- Follow local laws and venue rules, and get any permissions an event needs.
- Use entry passes and attendee lists only to run your event, not for marketing elsewhere.
04Not allowed
- Spam, pyramid schemes, unrelated selling and fake giveaways.
- Sexual content, adult services, and anything harmful to children.
- Illegal activities, weapons, drugs, gambling or alcohol sales.
- Content that infringes copyright or trademarks.
- Misinformation designed to mislead or harm people.
The full list of prohibited content is in our Terms of Use.
05Reporting a problem
Use the Report link on any club or event page, or write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@groupiie.in. We review every report. We may remove content, decline or revoke clubs and events, or suspend accounts that break these guidelines.
